Jaime graduated in Economics at the University of Madrid in 1978. He read labour economics at the London
School of Economics in 1982.
After a year in the army he joined Gaston y Daniela group as a board member in 1988.
Since 2006 Jaime has been the C.E.O of the Gaston y Daniela and the C.E.O of GDC, the hospitality division
of Gaston y Daniela.
Jaime overlooks the whole process of purchasing, cost control, deliveries and logistics as well as managing the contract group.
In the industry since 1988.
In GDC sin 1988.

Jesus Garabieta Arregui

Jesus graduated in Pharmaceutical Studies at the University of Pamplona ( Spain) in 1981. He followed up with postgraduate studies at the University of London up to 1985.He gets involved in the antiques business for a number of years and in 1988 starts working at the
Gaston y Daniela group.
Jesus is the chief designer at the Gaston y Daniela Group. He worked very closely until his death in 2000 with Willi Wakonigg, the creator of the GASTON Y DANIELA textile editor collection.
Jesus gets involved in all aspects of the design teams across the group and as such assists the design team at the GDC level.
Alejandra Martinez-Barona

Alejandra graduated in interior design from IADE in Madrid ( Spain) in 2003. She previously read law at
the Universidad Complutense in Madrid ( Spain).
During her studies she worked in London as a designer in major window dressing jobs such as Paul & Joe and Colefax and Fowler.
She joined GDC as hospitality interior designer in 2008 after having developed her career in other design studios.
She leads now the design and project execution in GDC.
Professional experience in interior design since 2004. Alejandra is fluent in Spanish and English.

María Astrain Pereda

María Astrain Pereda

Maria graduated in Interior Design from the Higher Technical School of Architecture in Madrid (ETSAM) in 2002. She has further finished studies in computer design in Madrid. In 2009 she finished a postgraduate course in project control at the Instituto de Empresa of Madrid (IE).
Maria has been with GDC since 2006, initially as junior project assistant and since 2009 in charge of project management. Among the projects she has been in charge of are the Hotel Palace in Madrid (WestinHotels), the Arts Hotel in Barcelona (a Ritz Carlton Hotel), the Abadia de Reuerta in Valladolid (Spain) a boutique hotel of Novartis (Switzerlalnd), and the ME Madrid Hotel (Meliá Hoteles) Professional experience
since 2003 in the field of interior design.
Working with GDC since 2006.
Fluent in Spanish, English and French.
María Ortiz Ruano

María Ortiz Ruano

Maria graduated in Art Restoration and Conservation at the Escuela Superior de Madrid in 1999. She has further done postgraduate studies in Appraisal d. and Inventory at the Escuela de Arte y Anticuariado de Madrid.
She has done practice work at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London while completing her studies.
After working in different interior decoration ateliers in Madrid and Sevilla, she joined GDC in 2010, where she works as a senior project manager.
She has led the refurbishment teams at ME London (Meliá Hotels) together with the Foster Architecture Group, and the White House Hotel in London (Meliá Hotels). She was project manager for Gaston y Daniela in the decoration of Das Stue in Berlin.
Among other projects she has been involved in the decoration project of Melia Don Pepe in Marbella (Spain) and the Ritz Hotel in Barcelona (today Palace Hotel.Barcelona) and the Palace Hotel in Madrid (Westin).
Svetlana Brydoun

Graduated in International Relations at the Moscow International University.in 1998.
Svetlana has further followed postgraduate studies with a Master Degree at the Fundación Ortega y Gasset in Madrid ( Spain) in European Studies.
She has been with the Gaston y Daniela group since 2011 developing different markets in which the Group is present. For over 5 years before joining GDC she was dealing with luxury products in the Eastern European Market, mainly Russia As a part of GDC Svetalana has worked overseas in the pursuit of hospitality decoration projects since 2012.
